Course Description 2D Foundations is an introductory art course that explores a variety of two dimensional mediums and materials. Students will have opportunities to work in graphite, acrylic paint, watercolor and charcoal, developing a better understanding of artistic concepts, and principals of design. Topics include but are not limited to: Perspective, proportion, pattern and texture, paint mixing and application, color as temperate, and compositional theories. 2D Foundations can be described simply as a 2D bootcamp, where students have an opportunity to try a variety of mediums and materials in a light and enjoyable working environment.
